Fuck perspective.

I'm pretty sure I fail at colour theory too.

Sorry Moh. D:

Pin-up girls

I lied. I am filling up my blog with a bunch of girls.

I'm sad that Bettie Page died! AND Majel Roddenberry. AND Eartha Kitt!! What the hell, 2008! Oh, fine, fine, Heath Ledger too.

I really have to stop channeling other artists even when I draw without reference. :S Clearly too much Bruce Timm at 17.

Weekly Illustration #8: BATTLESAURUS!

I don't think this was a real weekly illustration topic; it might've just been something Stefan and Colleen came up with. This may or may not have been an excuse to draw a girl. You're lucky I didn't up fill this blog with pin-up girls since they are my favourite thing to draw.

Weekly Illustration #4: Lyric from a song

"Lady sing the blues so well
as if she means it
as if it's hell down here
in the smoke filled world
where the jokes are cold, they don't laugh at jokes
they laugh at tragedies"

Lady by Regina Spektor

Uh... a verse can count as a lyric, right?

One more before school

Jade used to talk about how we should dress up as Peter Pan and Robin. Then again, she also used to talk about how we should go to Value Village and get married so that we'd have an excuse to try on the wedding gowns.

Sketching on Main Street

I'm still afraid of hipsters, but they are fun to draw.

XD

We have been going out for a year. It's my sketchblog, I can draw whatever I want. :P

100 kids. Well, not really.

I tried doing Ashlyn's exercise of drawing 100 kids. I think I got up to only about 50 before I gave up and the ones at the end were looking pretty pitiful so I won't show them. Anyway, here are some of them.

The Six Wives of Henry VIII

This is just the first pass, I'm hoping to refine the idea over Christmas break or something. I took a lot of historical liberties. :P

Redecorating

Sorry, nothing too impressive this time around. I did some watercolours on Sunday to decorate my room. Because if the ladies of Pantsketch have taught me anything, it's that cute girls in their underwear are simple to draw and appealing to the masses!

If I pray hard enough and eat my vegetables, maybe one day I just might grow hips

My mom came to visit me and the first thing she said when she saw me was, "Oh, you've gained weight! But in a good way. Much better than last summer." I went to the UK then and came back five pounds heavier which lead to a lot of sighing and "You're not thin anymore, don't gain any more weight"s.

I'm giving a bad impression, I actually had a great time with my mom while she was here. Regardless, I would really like to meet this mythical Fatty Amanda.

Also, congratulations Nadine, on winning Best in Venue in the Fringe Festival with The Wedding Night! Here is a quick doodle of her from Canada Day:
